Picking sticks is exactly what it sounds like - a game where you pick sticks. It may sound easy but both a steady hand and high concentration are required when the sticks are scattered in a jumble. Win by picking the most sticks or read the bottom of the page for an alternative version!
Rules
Collect the sticks and let them fall from an upright position into a pile. The first player must then pick up a stick without any other stick moving. If the player succeeds, it is still his/her turn until the pick-up fails.
After a failed pick-up, the turn passes to the next player. The player who succeeds in picking up any of the striped sticks may continue to use it as a stick picking aid.
The player with the most sticks when all sticks are picked up wins.
Alternative version
The player with the highest number of points wins.
The following points apply:
Yellow: 3 points
Red: 5 points
Blue: 10 points
Green: 15 points
Striped: 20 points
